Deaf Allyship Club | Build friendships and community within the space while also learning/practicing ASL. Members of the club will be encouraged to expand their learning and go to Deaf events. At these Deaf Events, allies will have the opportunity to gain volunteering hours. In going to these Deaf events together as a club, we will expand our knowledge in ASL and Deaf culture and community. Deaf people don’t have a voice in our society and I’d like to give them one at least in our own community we build here at Marshall. Members will be exposed to the Deaf community through videos made by Deaf people and having interactions with Deaf people at Deaf events. |

This club will be dedicated to raising awareness, creating activities, expressing oneself, and most importantly forming special bonds with each of the special needs students. |

The purpose of this club is to encourage more women to work in CS and lessen the gender gap in the male dominated computer science field. |

HEAL for Health | HEAL stands for Health Education and Literacy, which is what we aim to promote through this chapter. The main purpose of HFH is to fundraise, raise awareness, educate, and support patients, Through these actions, HFH aims to foster health equity across a gradient of socioeconomic levels, especially targeting underrepresented/underprivileged communities to receive quality assistance. We also plan to host workshops and other learning opportunities to raise awareness for relevant topics in our local school environment and beyond. |

We plan to spread awareness of the growing issue of homelessness in our local community, figure out ways in which we can help as students, and ultimately provide numerous community service opportunities for those willing to volunteer. Our main goal is to combat homelessness in the most effective way possible, and we believe that working together as a team within this club will do just that.

As a club we hope to provide the Los Angeles women shelters and domestic violence safe houses with essential supplies and extra funding that this club will work to raise. |

Teens Informed | Our club addresses the current mental health crisis and we strive to educate teens on campus as well as provide support. By applying self help tools, we push them to address their own mental health struggles and provide a supportive and open space to relax and converse in a stress filled environment. Using cognitive therapy tools and stressing the importance of good mental health habits, we are able to address this growing crisis and destigmatize the topic of mental health. We hope to urge students on campus to better themselves as well as others around them. |

The Art Club | The purpose of the club is to expand the artistry and make a creative environment for the John Marshall High School students to participate in. Students will be making their own creations and convey their feelings and emotions through their art. Students will be using different arts such as literature, music, photography, acting, and painting and will be introduced with a different topic each week and a different media of art to display the topic. A week later, the club would hold a gallery walk in the club displaying the students’ creative gifts on the topic given. Since we also live in Los Angeles where art is very prominent we will also teach students about the art industry and the different paths they can take using their artistic talents. |

The Kpop Dance Club | The Kpop Dance Club is a dance where students will get to learn choreography from their favorite kpop songs. Not only this, but members may ask the president of the club to teach the requested song to their peers in the next meeting. This club will help with communication since we are all trying to learn and improve. Everyone in this club is a teacher and student, so we all learn from each other |
